Innovative Dutch company that imports and exports premium vegetables and fruit
GreenGoose exports on a global level to the wholesalers, retailers and specialty stores. This is done through two outlet channels, namely the fresh market (e.g. supermarkets) and the industrial market (e.g. producers of potato fries). GreenGoose is also the sweet potato specialist in The Netherlands. Consequently, the sweet potato is the main product of GreenGoose. The entire import and distribution takes place in Bleiswijk in The Netherlands.
FOUNDER CHRISTIAAN VAN DER GOES
GreenGoose was founded in 2017 by Christiaan van der Goes (1987). Growing up in a family of successful entrepreneurs he knew at an early age that he eventually wanted to set up his own company. Van der Goes’ father is a pioneer in the orchid growing industry. After finishing his studies plus seven years of relevant working experience in the fruit and vegetable industry, Van der Goes was ready to start his own business. He knew he had to specialize in one product in his field of expertise and become the market leader in this niche. Van der Goes instantly knew the sweet potato was going to be his focus product as it not only tastes great it also is a very versatile product with a lot of growth potential. On top of that the sweet potato is also available year-round.

GreenGoose cares for our planet. Therefore, we believe that doing things in a sustainable way is very important. As an ambitious and innovative company, we are motivated to become leaders in our industry in the field of sustainability. The following are examples of recent accomplishments.

CERTIFICATES
GreenGoose operating procedures have the GlobalG.A.P. certificate (food safety) and the SKAL-certificate (bio certificate). Our sweet potatoes are all GlobalG.A.P. and GRASP (risk assessment in terms of social aspects) certified. The sweet potatoes from Egypt also carry a BSCI-SMETA (working conditions) certificate.
GREENGOOSE INDUSTRY
In 2019 GreenGoose established its daughter company GreenGoose Industry. Via this company GreenGoose services the industrial market. For example, we deliver large quantities of sweet potatoes to potato processors that turn sweet potatoes into (frozen)fries, wedges and such.
